Architecture
Reading spaces, building on them, rethinking them. From the first concept through conversion and change of use to planning permission.
Craft
Crocheted, upcycled, made by hand. One-offs and spatial installations that grow out of experimenting.
Art
Free painting as emotional expression. Colours and forms grow out of perception – also as commissions.
Where they overlap, ACICI happens.
To me, architecture, art and craft are not separate disciplines but expressions of one approach.
Studio
What is ACICI?
A headscarf of my mother’s – colourful, with handmade oya edging. I took it with me everywhere. It brought together handcraft, structure and expression with a sense of belonging. Today my studio is called ACICI.
ACICI Studio is my creative space, where architecture, art and experimental work come together.
